Construction Manager / Site Manager

About the role

Zinfra is seeking a Construction Manager / Site Manager to lead the delivery of distribution feeder and underground cabling projects across Australia. The role is responsible for safe, compliant and efficient execution of non‑routine works, supporting long‑term asset management and network reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Build team capability through coaching, development planning and regular performance reviews.
• Manage project budgets, control costs and ensure efficient operating and capital outcomes.
• Deliver non‑routine construction projects on time, within budget and to customer/program requirements.
• Coordinate resources and subcontractors to optimise utilisation and quality of works.
• Monitor risks, maintain up‑to‑date risk registers and drive closure of non‑conformances.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by managing hazards, ensuring compliance and supporting incident reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading construction delivery in a safety‑critical infrastructure environment.
• Strong leadership, team development and employee engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability in asset management planning, reliability optimisation and program delivery.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management and operational decision‑making.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
