Construction Foreman – Ipswich Hospital Expansion

About the role

BESIX Watpac is seeking an experienced Foreman to join its Queensland construction team on the Ipswich Hospital Expansion project. You will work within a supportive, highly experienced crew to ensure the site runs safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Organise daily and weekly sequencing of on‑site activities, coordinating materials, equipment and personnel.
• Allocate site staff and resources in consultation with the Site Manager, ensuring availability when required.
• Review and re‑sequence the construction programme with the Site Manager to meet programmed completion dates.
• Implement company policies on safety, industrial relations and quality assurance at the work face.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in building, construction or a related trade.
• Proven experience supervising commercial or industrial building projects, delivering on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Strong ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of safety, industrial relations and quality assurance standards applicable to construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret construction programmes and contract documents.
