Construction Engineer – Structural (Hybrid)

About the role

Due to recent project wins, we are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Construction Engineering team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will provide specialist staged analysis, construction methodology and temporary works design services for major building and transport infrastructure projects across Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Design detailed temporary works and assess their impact on permanent structures.
• Liaise with clients, Project Directors and Associates on current and future projects.
• Manage project resources in collaboration with Project Directors.
• Deliver projects while upholding RBG’s reputation for innovation, technical excellence and quality.
• Collaborate proactively with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely, coordinated deliverables.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification with a focus on structural engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience in temporary works design (preferred but not required).
• Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in producing detailed engineering drawings.
• Solid grounding in steel and concrete design.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Demonstrated use of relevant structural software.
• Project‑management experience covering administrative, commercial and technical aspects.
• Ability to prepare high‑quality technical reports with minimal corrections.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full working rights in Australia.
