Concrete Supervisor for Large‑Scale Mining Project

About the role

The Civil and Concrete (C&C) Supervisor will lead direct‑hire and contractor activities on the Eva Copper Process Plant in Cloncurry, Queensland. This role ensures construction work complies with drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards while maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance of direct‑hire and subcontractor work against project drawings, specifications, schedule and ES&H requirements.
• Coordinate performance, schedule, cost control and change management for installation contractors and earthworks/foundation activities.
• Maintain continuous work‑front availability using three‑week look‑ahead schedules, commodity and resource charts, and material delivery plans.
• Review and approve subcontractor submittals, technical queries, field change documents and as‑built drawings.
• Interface with engineers, client representatives and other functional departments to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless site operations.

Required profile

• Recognised engineering degree or minimum five years of civil and concrete experience on industrial plants.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise professional judgement and provide technical leadership to contractor teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive work environment with clients, contractors and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Large‑scale bulk excavation and material movement.
• Reinforced concrete construction pours, including embedments for major equipment foundations.
• Complex formwork systems and installation processes.
• Knowledge of relevant standards, specifications, codes and safety procedures.
