Superintendent - Crushing

About the role

The Superintendent – Crushing will supervise and direct operations within the Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) discipline on an EPC project for the Eva Copper Mine in Cloncurry, Queensland. This full‑time role works on a 2:1 roster and ensures construction performance meets specifications, schedules and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the project ES&H and quality control programs.
• Supervise and coordinate Structural, Mechanical and Piping craft activities, including manpower planning, recruitment and training.
• Prepare weekly work plans, material requisitions and ensure use of current revision documents.
• Interface with field engineering to resolve installation conflicts and report installed quantities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction operations, subcontract administration and industry quality standards.
• Familiarity with Bechtel’s ES&H Core Processes, Zero Accidents philosophy and Standard Work Process Procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications per BSAP standards.
• Knowledge of Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) and related automation tools.
• Understanding of construction codes, environmental, safety and health requirements.
