Communications & Stakeholder Advisor

About the role

Based in our Burnie office, you will join the Social Licence & Stakeholder Engagement team to shape how we communicate, listen, and build trust with communities and stakeholders. This position involves regular out‑of‑hours work, including weekends, to support the Marinus Link Stage 1 project.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and write high‑quality, impactful communication materials.
• Plan and implement innovative stakeholder engagement approaches.
• Manage customer service and respond to community and stakeholder enquiries.
• Document, track, and report engagement and communication activities.
• Support the planning and delivery of community events and information sessions.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification or equivalent discipline.
• Experience in communications, public relations, journalism, stakeholder engagement, marketing, or community development.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible messages.
• Proactive, solution‑focused approach to building relationships with stakeholders and communities.
• Excellent organisational skills, including experience documenting and reporting activities.
• Interest in Tasmania’s role in Australia’s renewable energy future.
