Communications Specialist

About the role

The Communications Specialist will support the PR & Influencer Manager in delivering earned media and influencer campaigns for the PlayStation brand across the Australian market. This role works closely with global communications, local marketing, sales and agency partners to drive awareness and positive sentiment for hardware, software and subscription services.

Key responsibilities

• Execute PR plans including media outreach, pitching, asset distribution and press coordination for game titles, hardware launches and service promotions.
• Build and maintain relationships with Australian gaming, tech, entertainment, lifestyle and mainstream media outlets.
• Draft and localise press releases, media alerts, Q&As and briefing documents, and manage inbound media enquiries.
• Support influencer campaigns on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch and emerging platforms, including briefing, tracking deliverables and KPI reporting.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in public relations, communications or influencer marketing (in‑house or agency).
• Strong knowledge of the Australian media landscape and influencer ecosystem.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate cross‑functionally.
