Communications Officer

About the role

The Marist Association of St Marcellin Champagnat Ltd (MASMC) is seeking a creative Communications Officer to develop and deliver engaging communications for internal and external stakeholders across its Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane offices. The role supports the mission of MASMC, Marist Schools Australia and related ministries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, write and edit content for publications, newsletters, website, social media and other channels.
• Produce video content and podcasts, and create email campaigns to promote events.
• Manage and maintain the MASMC and MSA websites, ensuring up‑to‑date and relevant information.
• Plan and schedule social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and analyse engagement metrics.
• Coordinate production of print and digital publications such as annual reports, magazines, brochures and event materials.
• Provide communications support during MASMC and MSA gatherings, including photography and live updates.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing social media and digital platforms with a strong understanding of content management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a creative storytelling approach.
• Commitment to the mission and values of MASMC and MSA, and ability to work across two related entities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Squarespace, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience using Office 365 environments and preferably Supporterhub CRM.
