Communications Officer – Internal Corporate Communications

About the role

The Communications Officer (Internal) will support a trusted, high‑impact corporate communications service at UNSW, creating clear and consistent messaging across the university. Reporting to the Communications Manager (Internal), you will work within the Corporate Communications team to keep staff informed, connected and engaged.

Key responsibilities

• Write and disseminate UNSW stories and messages, including Inside UNSW and all‑staff emails.
• Create engaging content that translates complex information into accessible messages for diverse internal audiences.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide internal communications advice and identify effective channels.
• Develop internal communications plans and maintain resources, tools and guidelines.
• Use insights, feedback and data to continuously improve reach and impact of internal channels.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification with depth of experience in communications or marketing, or equivalent knowledge.
• Proven experience developing, delivering and measuring internal communications in a complex organisation.
• Strong ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

• Excellent written communication and high‑impact messaging for internal audiences.
• Ability to distil complex information into simple, clear messages.
