Clinical Team Lead

About the role

Healthcare Australia is recruiting a Clinical Team Leader for the Brisbane Immigration Detention Centre. The role provides clinical and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary primary health care team, working closely with the Health Service Manager to deliver safe, responsive and high-quality care. It suits an experienced nurse who wants to lead a team and make a difference.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the primary health care team, ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Oversee clinical assessments, care planning, referrals, documentation and day-to-day service delivery.
• Provide clinical guidance, mentoring and professional development to support team capability and performance.
• Manage clinical and operational risks, rosters, resources and workflow while maintaining clinical governance and compliance.
• Lead multidisciplinary collaboration, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives, with a hands-on clinical presence as required.

Required profile

• Experienced Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Division 1 registration.
• A relevant postgraduate qualification and at least five years' clinical nursing experience.
• Hands-on experience in an operational healthcare setting and previous clinical leadership or coordination experience.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary primary health care.

Required skills

• Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Confident managing competing priorities and making sound clinical decisions.
• Use of clinical systems and Microsoft Office.
