Clinical Nurse Consultant (Palliative Care) - Tasmania

About the role

Skilled Nursing is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Palliative Care) for a permanent, full-time day position in Tasmania, working up to 76 hours per fortnight and starting as soon as possible. Hours can be negotiated with the successful applicant. The role provides leadership within the team in supporting palliative clients across a variety of locations, including home visits to patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Support palliative clients in a variety of locations, including home visits to patients and their families
• Assess conditions and needs for supports and report back to the specialist team
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure timely responses to requests for support
• Assess the response to interventions

Required profile

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
• Current driver's licence
• Holds or is working towards relevant postgraduate tertiary qualifications (desirable)
• Experience and understanding of the palliative approach to care
• Demonstrated understanding of a collaborative consultative approach to care across acute and primary health settings, working with THS and NGOs to support palliative patients

What we offer

• Salary of $118,297 to $125,543 per year plus 12% employer superannuation, in line with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023
