Clinical Haematology Registrar – 2027 Training Campaign

About the role
The Royal Hobart Hospital is seeking qualified doctors to join its Clinical Haematology Department as Registrars for the 2027 training campaign. This fixed‑term role offers comprehensive clinical experience in a tertiary referral setting, supporting both inpatient and outpatient services.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day care of public inpatients and outpatients within the haematology unit.
- Provide on‑call coverage for the department and occasional after‑hours emergency support.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient management plans.
- Engage in protected training time (approximately 10 hours per fortnight) to develop specialised haematology skills.
Required profile
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration where applicable.
- Willingness to undergo pre‑employment checks including conviction, identification, and disciplinary history.

What we offer
- Salary range $138,978 – $194,675 per annum (AUD), aligned with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025.
- Fixed‑term full‑time contract (1 Feb 2027 – 7 Feb 2028) with 76 hours per fortnight plus protected training time.
