General Practitioner – Skin Cancer Focus

About the role

The Hobart Skin Cancer Clinic is seeking a General Practitioner with a strong interest in skin cancer medicine to join its dedicated practice in Bellerive, Hobart. You will work within a collaborative, doctor‑led network that handles business administration, allowing you to focus on high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat and prevent skin cancer and related skin conditions across all ages.
• Perform dermoscopy, skin checks and biopsies as part of the skin cancer management pathway.
• Provide comprehensive general practice services including acute, chronic, preventive and mental health care.

Required profile

• FRACGP, FACRRM, or equivalent UK/Ireland/New Zealand qualification eligible for the Australian Specialist GP pathway.
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in skin cancer medicine, dermoscopy and skin cancer management.

Required skills

• Dermoscopic examination of skin lesions.
• Skin biopsy techniques.
• Management of skin cancer patients from detection through treatment.
