Clinical Fellow – Medicine for the Elderly (ST Equivalent)

About the role

The NHS Tayside Medicine for the Elderly service is seeking a Clinical Fellow (ST Equivalent) to work across Perth Royal Infirmary, Crieff Community Hospital and Blairgowrie Community Hospital. This role offers exposure to acute frailty, orthogeriatric care, rehabilitation and specialist clinics for falls, movement disorders and bone health.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for older patients across multiple hospitals.
• Participate in the acute frailty team, frailty unit and orthogeriatric service.
• Deliver care in acute MFE wards and the 18‑bed rehabilitation and assessment unit.
• Run and support specialist clinics focusing on falls, movement disorders and bone health.
• Contribute to service innovation and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Full registration with the GMC and a valid licence to practise.
• Successful completion of the UK Foundation Programme or equivalent (UK CREST form).
• Eligibility to work in the UK; international candidates are welcome under Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to work full‑time or part‑time, including less‑than‑full‑time arrangements.
