Civil Designer

About the role

Ausenco is seeking a Civil Designer to join its Newcastle team, developing earthworks, drainage and roadway design solutions that meet client specifications and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop earthworks, drainage, and roadway design solutions aligned with project standards.
• Ensure all design outputs and documentation are accurate, complete, and conform to Ausenco’s design and documentation standards.
• Provide technical expertise and support to team members within the discipline.
• Mentor and assist graduate engineers and designers to foster their professional growth.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in earthworks, roadworks, and drainage design within mining, mineral processing, materials handling, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Advanced Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with excellent time management and the ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proven expertise in Civil 3D.
• Proven expertise in AutoCAD.
• Experience with 12D (or willingness to upskill).
