Christmas Casual Optical Assistant

About the role

Bailey Nelson is hiring Christmas Casual Optical Assistants for its North Perth stores (Joondalup and Whitford) to support the busy holiday period. This temporary role runs from early November 2026 to the end of January 2027 and requires full availability, including weekends and peak trading periods.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers through their eyecare journey, offering styling advice, frame recommendations and vision solutions.
• Assist with optical needs, ensuring each visit is warm, engaging and memorable.
• Maintain a dynamic store environment, supporting high operational standards during peak times.
• Collaborate with fellow assistants, store leaders and optometrists to keep peak trading running smoothly.

Required profile

• Full availability from early November 2026 to late January 2027, with flexibility for weekends and extra shifts.
• Previous customer‑service experience in retail, hospitality or a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude with strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
• Reliable team player who can build strong rapport with colleagues and optometrists.
