Chief Operating Officer

About the role

The organisation is a well‑established professional services firm operating across regional and metropolitan Australia. Reporting to the partnership group, the Chief Operating Officer will drive strategy, execution and performance across a geographically dispersed business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead core functions including people & culture, finance, marketing, IT, governance and day‑to‑day operations.
• Develop and implement organisational strategies that improve systems, processes and overall performance.
• Oversee M&A activities, including target evaluation, integration planning and execution.
• Ensure alignment of enterprise initiatives across all business units and locations.
• Collaborate with senior partners to translate strategic goals into actionable plans.

• Proven senior leadership experience within a professional services environment.
• Track record of driving growth, leading transformation and continuous improvement.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage senior stakeholders in partnership structures.
