Catering Support Worker

About the role

Catering support workers provide healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by the home's Chef, supporting the Kitchen team to deliver a high-quality catering service to residents. The role reports to the Home Manager and suits people looking for steady permanent shifts across the roster. A permanent part-time position is also available.

Key responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
• Work with the Care team to plate and deliver meals, knowing the menus and the needs and preferences of each resident
• Complete cleaning tasks according to the cleaning schedule and sign off the appropriate sheets
• Document residents' requirements and any exceptional changes during the shift

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety
• Food Handling Certificate (HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices) desirable
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to prioritise workloads and commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control
• Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment
