Casual Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Casual Technician to support our operations when a Senior Technician is unavailable. The role involves assisting the base supervisor with job allocation, maintaining daily records, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment both in the workshop and on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the base supervisor in allocating work for the following day when a Senior Technician is absent.
• Support fellow employees in a collaborative, team‑oriented manner.
• Complete and maintain a daily diary of activities.
• Keep the immediate work area tidy and clean, both in the workshop and on site.
• Promote Furmanite services, products, and business solutions.
• Comply with the Quality System (AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000) for service and product delivery.
• Follow all Furmanite company policies and procedures as updated.

Required profile

• Trade qualification such as Fitter & Turner, Fitter Machinist, or a comparable skill set (highly preferable).
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Current Construction Card.
• Ability to work onshore, offshore, and remote sites, including shift work.
• Strong ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
