Casual Food Services Assistant - Aged Care

About the role

Estia Health Wattle Glen, a residential aged care home in a quiet, leafy suburb of Melbourne's north-east, is looking for experienced Food Services Assistants to join its team on a casual basis. The role centres on preparing meals and drinks for residents and keeping the kitchen clean and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food and drink for residents
• Clean, including washing dishes
• Change the menu, working with the team and residents to create meals that suit every individual
• Keep records as part of the Food Safety Program
• Stay active and on your feet for most of your shift

Required profile

• A real desire to make a difference in people's lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care experience is a bonus)
• Great time management and planning skills
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course
