Casual Enrolled Nurse - Residential Aged Care

About the role

A residential aged care home in Glenroy, Victoria, with 89 residents, is looking for an experienced Enrolled Nurse for a casual position. The nurses deliver specialised, high-quality nursing care to older Victorians, applying their clinical skills in a supportive multidisciplinary team. The advertised rate is $43.13-$45.21 per hour plus casual loading and superannuation.

Key responsibilities

• Apply clinical skills and up-to-date knowledge of the aging process to residents within the home
• Tailor holistic care to each resident's individual needs and respond to their care
• Promote and protect the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of every resident
• Plan, implement and evaluate care systematically and keep accurate, timely documentation
• Spend time with residents to connect, share stories and show empathy

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Enrolled Nurse, ideally in residential aged care
• Current Division 2 nursing registration with AHRPA
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID or ability to obtain it
• Understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
• Experience building genuine connections with clients, families and team members

• Clinical skills in areas such as tissue viability, continence management and dementia/behaviour management

• Empathy, dignity and respect, and a collaborative approach with residents, staff, colleagues and stakeholders
