Casual Care Attendant (Personal Care Worker)

About the role

HenderCare is seeking an experienced Personal Care Worker to join its team on a casual basis, supporting aged care and disability clients in their homes across the ACT. The worker attends multiple clients' homes and works short shifts of 1 to 3 hours per client, helping service recipients stay independent.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, medication management and bed transfers.
• Support clients in accessing appointments or recreational activities, and monitor and report on their progress, health and other issues.
• Help with domestic assistance such as vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and toilets, damp dusting, laundry and light housework.

Required profile

• Own reliable smartphone to access the AlayaCare app.
• Minimum qualification in Disability or Aged Care (Cert III/IV).
• Australian driver's licence, own car and comprehensive insurance.
• Current National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
• First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificate, and Manual Handling (HLTWHS005) certificate.
• Previous experience providing personal care, community access and domestic assistance.
• Right to work in Australia; pre-employment checks apply.
