Residential Operations Manager

About the role

Anglicare is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join its Residential Leadership Team at Goodhew Gardens and Bay Breeze, a residential aged care home in Taren Point. The role is pivotal in ensuring the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the home and delivering high levels of care and wellbeing for residents. It is a full-time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Residential Manager with complaint management and contribute to resident wellbeing, and help respond to resident survey and feedback
• Manage non-clinical administrative and commercial functions to meet home KPIs such as occupancy, budgets and care minutes, and control adverse trends
• Lead, coach and manage an engaged team, uphold Anglicare's vision and mission and collaborate across teams
• Manage large complex rosters, annual leave, sick leave, agency and contingency plans, and complete HR and payroll functions accurately
• Conduct annual performance reviews and succession planning with the Residential Manager
• Champion compliance and continuous improvement, maintain staff compliance records and keep a safe workplace

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in a senior administrative and/or management role
• Experience managing budgets and commercial KPIs, and a proven track record of KPI management
• Experience managing complex rosters and diverse workforce teams, preferably in aged care
• Experience with rostering and associated systems
• Leadership skills to build trust, coach and engage the team

Required skills

• Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, time management and financial systems
• Financial acumen and understanding of commercial drivers in aged care
• Meticulous attention to detail and decision-making within the area of responsibility
