Capture Manager – Defence Business Development

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Capture Manager to lead the capture and proposal phases of new business opportunities within Australia’s Defence sector. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Growth, you will own qualified opportunities and drive win strategies across the Growth Lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement win strategies, competitive intelligence, teaming approaches and customer assessments to maximise probability of win.
• Lead cross‑functional capture teams including subject matter experts, solution architects, engineers, commercial, finance and business development staff.
• Partner with the Proposal Management team to produce compliant, compelling proposals and manage the bid process.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders while ensuring policy compliance and risk management.

Required profile

• Proven capture or bid management experience in the Australian Defence industry, preferably with complex space or prime systems integration captures.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Australian citizenship with current or prior NV1 security clearance.
• Ability to manage complex projects, budgets and develop capture strategies.
