CAD / Drafting Lead

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced CAD / Drafting Lead to support major transport infrastructure projects across New South Wales. You will lead the Highways design drafting team, ensuring high‑quality outputs and adherence to standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee drafting quality, standards and digital delivery workflows for major road projects.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate a team of local and offshore drafters.
• Ensure outputs align with AECOM and client requirements, including Transport for NSW standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in civil/highways design documentation.
• Proven leadership and coordination skills within drafting teams.
• Strong understanding of Australian design practices and Transport for NSW standards.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
