Business Development Manager, Victoria & Tasmania

About the role

Journey Beyond, Australia's leading experiential tourism group, is looking for a Business Development Manager based in Melbourne to take ownership of business development across Victoria and Tasmania. The role combines territory planning, account management and trade engagement to grow revenue and market share across the portfolio of rail journeys, cruises, resorts, lodges and destination experiences. It is a full-time, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Grow revenue and market share across Victoria and Tasmania
• Develop territory plans and new business partnerships
• Strengthen relationships with retail and wholesale trade partners
• Represent the company at industry events, deliver product launches and trade training
• Track sales performance, market trends and commercial opportunities

Required profile

• At least five years' experience in sales, business development or account management
• Experience working with retail, wholesale or strategic trade partners
• Proven record of achieving revenue growth and sales targets
• Experience in travel, tourism, hospitality or leisure highly regarded
• Full driving licence and own vehicle; flexibility for regular local, regional and interstate travel and occasional international travel, and after-hours events

Required skills

• Commercial, presentation and relationship-building skills
• Confidence using CRM platforms, Excel, PowerPoint and reporting tools such as Power BI

What we offer
