Business Development Manager – Victoria

About the role

Hunter Douglas is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Victorian region to drive new business and grow existing customer relationships across its Curtain Hardware Australia, Window Covering Components and Finished Goods lines. The role is pivotal to achieving sales growth, gross profit and strategic KPI targets for the division.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned territory and product lines.
• Manage and expand relationships with existing customers to meet sales and profit targets.
• Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations highlighting product capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to respond to customer needs and opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to inform strategy.
• Participate in product launches and promotional events, providing technical support as required.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, forecasts and pipeline using CRM tools.

Required profile

• Proven success in a B2B business development or field sales role.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities.
• Self‑managed time, travel and territory with a results‑driven mindset.
• Creative thinker with strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Comfortable presenting to small, large and executive audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships in complex sales environments.
