Business Development Manager - Scania Finance Australia

About the role

Scania Finance Australia is looking for a Business Development Manager based in Victoria to drive new finance and insurance business across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia. The role delivers tailored finance solutions, builds and manages a profitable portfolio and promotes the value of Scania's total transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and grow new business leads
• Maximise conversion to new business and promote total transport solution selling
• Use financial analysis expertise to prepare and present creditworthy applications for customer finance facilities
• Develop and run sales plans and strategies, and prepare sales performance reports
• Expand the portfolio while meeting profitability targets
• Work closely with Scania Australia Account Managers, the sales team and management
• Negotiate finance arrangements with customers and provide a customer-first approach internally and externally

Required profile

• Experience in asset finance; Business Manager or F&I dealership experience is advantageous
• Experience reading and understanding profit and loss and balance sheets
• Able to build strong customer relationships and identify growth opportunities
• Relevant business knowledge from the financial services sector
• Knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry is highly regarded
• Banking/financial services loan and lease processing experience preferred but not essential
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency required
