Business Development Manager (SaaS)

About the role

Civica makes software used by more than 5,000 public bodies worldwide to deliver critical services for citizens, from local and state government to education, health and care. As a PE-backed business investing in its products and growth, it is looking for a Business Development Manager (SaaS) to find new opportunities, build relationships and turn conversations into new business. The role is based in Melbourne or Sydney, with an expectation of working from the office at least two days each week.

Key responsibilities

• Create quality pipeline, qualify opportunities and keep deals moving.
• Build trusted relationships with senior customers and open doors for new business.
• Drive new SaaS business opportunities and account for pipeline health, activity and results.

Required profile

• Solid sales track record and commercial discipline.
• Ability to learn quickly; public sector or technology experience is not required.
• Customer-focused, with strong discovery and qualification skills.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to maintain momentum despite challenges.
