Business Development Manager – Mining Tires

About the role

You will be the face of a world‑leading OTR tyre manufacturer in Australia, building relationships with mining companies, contractors, OEMs and service providers. This hunter position requires you to own the full sales cycle and develop a new territory with significant untapped potential.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory business plan to grow sales of giant OTR/mining tyres across Western Australia.
• Identify, prospect and engage key decision‑makers at mining operations, contractors and equipment fleets in the Pilbara, Goldfields and broader WA regions.
• Manage the complete sales cycle – lead generation, site visits, needs analysis, quoting, negotiation and contract closure.
• Collaborate with technical, logistics and service teams to ensure seamless product supply and after‑sales support in remote and FIFO environments.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing and customer demand, and feed insights back to headquarters.
• Represent the company at industry events, mine sites and trade shows, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline with forecasting.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in the mining industry (operator, contractor, OEM or supplier).
• Proven track record of opening new accounts and consistently exceeding sales targets.
• Strong existing network within the Australian mining community, especially in Western Australia.
• Familiarity with OTR/mining tyres, tyre management or heavy mining equipment is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, self‑motivated, persistent and comfortable building a territory from scratch.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including regular trips to remote mine sites (FIFO and drive‑in/drive‑out).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
