Business Development Executive

About the role

ActronAir, Australia’s leading HVAC innovator, is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive commercial growth. You will build high‑value relationships with contractors, consultants and specifiers, supporting the Sales Manager in expanding the commercial client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular call cycles and nurture relationships with commercial contractors, HVAC consultants and specifiers, keeping them informed of marketing material, training and technical releases.
• Conduct field research and competitor analysis across major commercial segments, identifying new growth initiatives and market channels.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and State Sales Managers to provide market feedback, assist in new product development and refine commercial marketing strategies.
• Partner with Customer Care and Project Sales Support to brief stakeholders, track project milestones and ensure delivery meets client expectations and ActronAir guidelines.
• Develop quarterly call plans, prepare monthly strategic action plans and represent ActronAir at trade shows and industry events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial HVAC sales or account management, or a Mechanical Engineer/HVAC Trade Professional transitioning to a commercial sales role.
• Background in related heavy/technical industries such as oil & gas, industrial equipment or building services.
• Strong technical comprehension of HVAC systems, mechanical services or complex equipment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities with a relationship‑building mindset.
• Problem‑solving orientation, high attention to detail and solid business acumen.
• Valid driver’s licence.
