Business Development Manager

About the role

Moula, part of the Liberty Group, is looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join its sales team in South Australia or Western Australia. You will develop and maintain profitable relationships across our SME lending portfolio, acting as a mentor to a network of brokers and helping them grow their referral sources.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, accountants, bookkeepers and other referral partners.
• Proactively manage a sales pipeline, converting new leads into funded loans.
• Drive awareness, recommendation and adoption of Moula products through partner channels.
• Present Moula’s value proposition to partners and industry groups, both one‑on‑one and in larger forums.
• Partner with internal Marketing, Product and Customer Experience teams to deliver an outstanding partner and client experience.
• Attend industry events and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and generate new business.

Required profile

• Proven success in business development, relationship management or partner sales within financial services, commercial finance or SME lending.
• Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder‑influence abilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a customer‑first mindset.
• Experience working with brokers, accountants, bookkeepers or similar referral partners.
• Highly organised, able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
• Passion for helping small businesses succeed.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
