Business Development Manager

About the role

Discovery Alert is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive subscription sales of its investor‑ready article platform to ASX‑listed companies and investor‑relations firms. You will work from a modern office in Leederville, Perth, and will be responsible for building a high‑value client book.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and manage a pipeline of ASX‑listed company executives and IR directors.
• Book meetings, deliver pitches, and close annual subscription contracts.
• Develop referral relationships with IR firms that manage multiple client portfolios.
• Maintain post‑close relationships, driving expansion revenue through upsells and cross‑selling.
• Utilise daily trigger‑based leads to initiate conversations and sustain momentum.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, high‑autonomy sales professional who thrives without a manager‑built pipeline.
• Strong phone presence and a relentless hustle mentality.
• Track record of selling to senior executives in financial or technology sectors is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, commission‑driven environment.
