About the role
Primer is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new merchant acquisition across Australia. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging and converting potential customers, building long‑term relationships and managing the full sales cycle.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new merchant customers and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Engage key stakeholders up to C‑level through networks, LinkedIn, email and events.
- Develop a deep understanding of Primer’s platform and value proposition to communicate effectively with technical and business audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams to shape processes and contribute to the company’s growth strategy.
Required profile
- Proven experience in B2B sales with a strong record of closing deals and exceeding quotas.
- Ability to prospect and qualify opportunities efficiently.
- Consultative, strategic and analytical sales approach with excellent organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing and persuading stakeholders.
- Experience selling complex technical solutions; background in payments is a plus but not mandatory.
- High drive and enthusiasm to grow with a fast‑moving company.
