Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

This position is a true hunter role focused on generating new freight forwarding and logistics business across South East Queensland. You will work independently to identify, secure and develop relationships with importers, exporters and supply‑chain decision‑makers, while enjoying an uncapped long‑tail commission structure.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, network and build a robust sales pipeline for air‑freight, sea‑freight and integrated logistics solutions.
• Conduct client meetings, understand requirements and present tailored logistics proposals.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close new contracts.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding.
• Maintain long‑term relationships and identify opportunities for account growth.

Required profile

• Demonstrated success in business development within freight forwarding or logistics.
• Hunter mentality with a strong focus on new‑business acquisition.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Commercially astute and able to spot customer opportunities.
• Self‑motivated and capable of managing your own schedule.
