Broking Team Leader

About the role

Gallagher, a global leader in insurance broking, risk management and consulting, is looking for a Team Leader based in its Perth office. The role leads and mentors a small team of broking professionals and uses strong leadership skills to deliver the best outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team of broking professionals
• Partner with brokers, insurers and Gallagher's offices across the country
• Deal with clients daily by visits, telephone and correspondence
• Manage and grow the client portfolio
• Market customer business of moderate to higher complexity and develop and maintain broker relationships
• Analyse client exposures and recommend or design risk transfer and financing products
• Identify appropriate carriers, negotiate quotes and prepare recommendations
• Participate in developing department policies and procedures and implement them in the assigned area

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience
• Insurance broking license required
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and proven ability to build relationships with clients, brokers and colleagues
• Innovative approach to finding better client outcomes and ambition to contribute to Gallagher's growth strategy

Preferred profile

• Professional designation such as CPCU, CIC or ARM
• Excellent sales capability and outstanding verbal and written communication skills
