Breakfast Cook (Part‑time)

About the role

The Breakfast Cook prepares and serves food for the breakfast buffet at Accor's Qantas Lounge in Canberra, delivering high‑quality meals to lounge guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present a variety of breakfast items for the buffet.
• Maintain strict stock rotation, minimise waste and follow stock‑control procedures.
• Assist with ingredient preparation, including chopping, slicing, dicing and measuring.
• Ensure food safety protocols are consistently applied.
• Keep work areas clean, wash dishes during service and maintain equipment.
• Report any issues to the Chef de Partie and Head Chef.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cook in a high‑volume kitchen.
• Ability to work mornings (0400‑1300) on a part‑time basis and pass a federal police background check.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Mass‑production cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
