Breakfast Chef De Partie

About the role

Join the culinary team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, a five‑star French luxury hotel, as a Breakfast Chef De Partie. You will lead and support the breakfast service across buffet and à la carte outlets, ensuring a high‑quality start to each guest’s day.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, run and pack down the breakfast buffet and à la carte service to Sofitel standards.
• Prepare and cook hot and cold breakfast items consistently.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance throughout service.
• Manage mise en place, stock rotation and assist with ordering and waste minimisation.
• Supervise, mentor and train junior kitchen staff and casual employees.
• Liaise with Front of House for smooth, guest‑focused service and support events and in‑room dining as needed.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef ready to step up, preferably in a hotel or high‑volume luxury environment.
• Availability for early morning shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Positive, proactive team player with attention to detail.
