Bottleshop Manager – Retail Leadership Role

About the role

Kalis Hospitality Group is seeking two experienced Bottleshop Managers to lead its community‑focused liquor stores in Tasmania. You will own the day‑to‑day operations, build strong customer relationships, and create a store environment the local community can be proud of.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and roster a team to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Oversee store operations including stock management, merchandising and POS systems.
• Share liquor and wine knowledge with staff and customers while staying current on industry trends.
• Manage ordering, rotation and loss control to maintain full shelves and healthy margins.
• Maintain attractive promotional displays and ensure compliance with liquor licensing obligations.
• Handle roster planning, wage costs, recruitment and onboarding.

Required profile

• Previous retail management experience in liquor, supermarket or fast‑paced specialty retail.
• Strong leadership ability with a focus on people development.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for liquor and wine.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
• Flexibility to work across all days, including evenings and weekends.
