About the role
CSL Behring is seeking a Biotech Manufacturing Assistant to support the Biotech Manufacturing Facility (BMF) at Broadmeadows. The role involves routine manufacturing activities for recombinant protein APIs and participation in technology transfer projects.
Key responsibilities
- Execute routine manufacturing activities for recombinant protein API according to approved SOPs.
- Perform cell culture work, including aseptic manipulations of mammalian cells.
- Assist in equipment commissioning, validation and re‑validation.
- Maintain cGxP compliance and report production deviations.
Required profile
- Preferred tertiary qualification in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical/Process Engineering or Food Science Technology.
- Experience or training in a manufacturing environment, preferably with aseptic cell culture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Required skills
- Cell culture techniques.
- Aseptic manipulation of microbial or mammalian cells.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and cGxP compliance.
