About the role

Join the sophisticated Cuvee Lounge Bar at Sofitel Brisbane Central and craft memorable drinks for guests in the heart of Brisbane city. You will bring your passion for mixology and curiosity for flavours to a dynamic, upscale environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages, including signature cocktails, wines, and spirits.
• Engage with customers professionally, offering recommendations and answering menu questions.
• Maintain a clean, organised bar area and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Process orders and handle cash/credit transactions using the POS system.
• Monitor inventory, place supply orders, and assist in creating new cocktail recipes and seasonal specials.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices and local regulations.

Required profile

• Proven bartender experience, preferably in an upscale lounge or cocktail bar.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Fluent English communication and strong customer‑service focus.

Required skills

• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
• Barista training and preferably Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) training.
• Expert knowledge of mixology techniques and current cocktail trends.
