Bar & Lounge Manager – Altus Rooftop

About the role

Lead the day‑to‑day operations of Altus Rooftop Bar & Lounge, delivering exceptional bar service and signature High Tea experiences in a premier Melbourne rooftop venue.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee seamless service across the bar, lounge and High Tea areas, ensuring memorable guest experiences.
• Lead, coach and develop a passionate team, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
• Drive innovative beverage offerings, seasonal promotions and high‑quality food‑beverage pairings with the Executive Chef.
• Manage rostering, stock ordering, inventory and compliance with RSA, food safety and hotel policies.

Required profile

• Previous leadership experience in a premium bar, restaurant, hotel or similar hospitality venue.
• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills with a hands‑on, floor‑leadership style.
• Impeccable grooming, professional presentation and a current Victorian RSA certificate.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems, preferably Micros.
• Excellent knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer and spirits.
