Availability Leader

About the role

The Availability Leader ensures that products are consistently in stock and easy for customers to find across all store departments. Working within BIG W’s retail network, you will embed robust inventory routines and drive a culture of continuous improvement in stock availability.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and develop the team to improve capability and empower decision‑making.
• Communicate change initiatives clearly, explaining the why behind new processes.
• Plan daily stock‑fill schedules for all departments.
• Maintain accurate stock‑on‑hand data by executing inventory routines.
• Oversee back‑of‑house housekeeping to keep areas tidy and safe.
• Manage receipt and dispatch of goods and loads.

Required profile

• Purpose‑driven leader who places care and belonging at the forefront of decisions.
• Agile and adaptable, comfortable with rapid transformation.
• Data‑informed decision maker focused on team, customer and performance metrics.
• Strong planner with ability to embed structured processes and routines.
• Willingness to work a flexible roster, including evenings and late nights across all seven days.
