Audit Manager – Internal Audit

About the role

Join Marsh’s Internal Audit Department in Melbourne as an Audit Manager. This hybrid position requires you to be in the office at least three days a week and involves leading audit activities, building stakeholder relationships, and supporting governance and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Audit Directors to support risk assessment and develop the annual audit plan.
• Lead internal audits and special projects, including interviews, testing, and report preparation.
• Review work of audit staff to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain strong relationships with audit clients and present findings to Audit and Risk Committees.
• Contribute to resource planning, budget oversight, and staff development, including recruiting and mentoring.

Required profile

• Significant experience in business, audit or accounting, with a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and project‑management skills, able to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience presenting complex information to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to coach and manage associate managers, senior auditors and staff auditors.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of audit methods and internal control concepts.
• Experience with data analytics and audit automation tools.
• Familiarity with business and technology risk assessment.
