Internal Auditor

About the role

Join Marsh's Internal Audit team in Melbourne, working in a hybrid model with at least three days a week on‑site. You will provide independent assurance and consulting services across the group's business segments, including Superannuation, Insurance and Reinsurance Broking, Investment Management, and Consulting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior staff in audit planning, scope definition, fact‑gathering and material review.
• Conduct interviews, evaluate controls, perform testing, and document outcomes across operations, finance and compliance.
• Identify control weaknesses, assess their impact, and help develop recommendations.
• Prepare electronic work papers, audit reports and participate in closing meetings and presentations.
• Support special projects as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance or External Audit within the Superannuation industry.
• Degree‑level education in IT, Business Management, Accounting/Finance or Social Sciences.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and project management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact with all organisational levels.

Required skills

• PowerBI competency.
• Data analytics capability.
• Familiarity with APRA or ASIC regulated reviews (highly regarded).
