Associate Lawyer – Banking Litigation (Melbourne)

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Lawyer to join our high‑performing banking litigation team in Melbourne. The role offers exposure to a high‑volume disputes practice, including court appearances, client management and mentoring opportunities alongside senior practitioners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and conduct banking litigation matters such as mortgage and security enforcement.
• Handle consumer financial services disputes, insolvency disputes and fraud matters.
• Appear in court and represent clients in various dispute forums.
• Collaborate closely with senior lawyers to develop case strategy and deliver outcomes.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in relevant litigation.
• Demonstrated experience in banking, financial services or related dispute areas.
• Strong client‑facing skills and ability to manage complex cases.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model based in Melbourne’s CBD.
