Associate In‑House Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a commercially minded lawyer to join our fast‑growing technology business as an Associate In‑House Legal Counsel. Working closely with the General Counsel, you will provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of matters and help the business move forward with confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, supplier and contractor agreements, and NDAs.
• Partner with Sales, Procurement, Delivery and Operations teams to deliver legal support that enables commercial outcomes.
• Support corporate governance, compliance initiatives, policy development and business‑wide legal matters.
• Assist with legal risk management, dispute resolution and coordination with external counsel.
• Maintain legal templates, playbooks and knowledge resources to improve efficiency.
• Provide guidance on privacy, data protection, technology procurement and regulatory obligations.

Required profile

• Current Australian admission and practising certificate to practise law in NSW.
• Minimum 2 + years post‑qualification experience in commercial, corporate or technology‑focused legal practice.
• Proven experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong ability to balance legal risk with commercial outcomes and excellent communication skills.
• High integrity, sound judgement and a collaborative working style.
