Associate Director of Sales

About the role

Join Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park as an Associate Director of Sales, leading a high‑performing team to drive conference and events revenue across a flagship hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the Conference & Events, Event Planning and Business Development teams.
• Drive achievement of the annual revenue budget across accommodation, venue hire, food & beverage and audio‑visual streams.
• Optimize yield management, business mix and function space utilisation to maximise profitability.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive account management and negotiations.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Revenue, Marketing and Operations to optimise pricing, forecasting and client experience.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in conference, events or sales within hospitality.
• Demonstrated success in revenue growth, meeting sales targets and profitability.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Excellent relationship management, negotiation and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Delphi (hotel sales/event management system) and CRM reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
