Associate Buyers Agent – Melbourne

About the role

Cohen Handler, Australia's largest buyers agency, is growing its Melbourne team and is looking for an Associate to work alongside the Managing Director. It is a hands-on junior role for someone who wants to build a genuine career in property, working in a fast-paced, highly involved position from first conversation through to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing properties that match clients' briefs, including off-market opportunities
• Prospecting and qualifying buyer leads
• Attending property inspections and auctions across Melbourne
• Building and maintaining relationships with local real estate agents
• Preparing proposal presentations and supporting comparative market analysis
• Liaising with clients, agents and external stakeholders such as conveyancers and building inspectors
• Managing diaries, organising appointments and keeping the CRM accurate and up to date
• Supporting the team with follow-up communications

Required profile

• Experience in real estate, sales or leasing of a buyers agency
• A current Victorian Agent's Representative certificate or higher
• A current driver's licence and access to reliable transport
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a good phone manner and quick rapport-building
• Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail
• Genuine interest in the Melbourne property market and a willingness to learn it deeply
• Professional, ethical approach to client service and a can-do attitude
• Availability to attend inspections and auctions, including some Saturdays

Required skills

• Confidence with CRM systems and standard office software, and the ability to pick up new tools quickly
