Assistant Venue Manager - Manly

About the role

An established hospitality group is looking for an Assistant Venue Manager to join its Northern Beaches team in Manly, Sydney. Working alongside the General Manager, you will help turn the daily plan into a successful service, giving the team clear direction, watching the details and making sure guests feel looked after, especially when the venue is at its busiest. The venue draws a varied crowd through food, drinks and entertainment all day and evening.

Key responsibilities

• Run organised, energetic shifts and keep service moving smoothly
• Coach staff during service and help emerging leaders build confidence
• Support rostering and adjust staffing to match expected trade
• Track wage costs, wastage and complimentary items
• Handle guest feedback with warmth, confidence and practical solutions
• Maintain presentation standards throughout the venue
• Keep communication clear between the floor, bar, kitchen and management
• Build the team's menu and beverage knowledge
• Make safe working practices part of every shift

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or management experience in a busy hospitality environment, such as a restaurant, pub, bar or other service-focused venue
• Confident floor presence and an approachable leadership style
• Good organisation and the ability to prioritise when plans change
• Understanding of staffing costs and efficient venue operations
• Pride in food, drinks and thoughtful service
• Current NSW RSA
